6 May 2021 THE Falkland Islands Government has announced that it “is supporting efforts to establish whether or not there are unidentified Argentine military personnel buried at Teal Inlet.” According to a news released on Thursday “This is an extension of the work previously carried out after the 1982 Falkland Islands War.” According to the release, “it is therefore right that we continue in our effort to determine whether or not these reports are correct, which means engaging with Argentine officials and the international Committee of the Red Cross, to determine the next steps in this process.” Media were told as this is an ongoing police investigation, no further comment will be made at this stage.
