now as homicide investigators here on the scene of the 1600 block of kirkwood at newhall, the coroner van just leaving a couple of minutes ago. police say that two teenaged boys were shot inside a house at around 1:30 this morning. one died, the other taken to the hospital with life- threatening injuries. the boys aged 15 to 16. officers say they don t have any suspects. we don t know if the boys are related or if they lived at the house here in the bay view. we don t know if adults were in the house or what the motive may have been of the shooter or if this was gang-related. still many questions at this hour. we are waiting for a public information officer to arrive at the scene and answer more questions for us. meantime, the homicide unit continues to be here to investigate this crime. elizabeth. okay, sharon chin live for us this morning in san francisco. thank you. well, today divers will be back out searching a canal near patterson for any signs of a 4- year-old boy
saying about this incident. sharon, good morning. reporter: good morning. homicide investigators are here still trying to sort out what happened here on the 1600 block of kirkwood at newhall. now, police say that there was a fight inside the house at around 1:30 this morning. two men got shot in a hallway or entryway. one was killed. one injured. now, a few minutes ago, lieutenant troy dangerfield told us that one was shot several times and is in the hospital this morning. he has life-threatening injuries. they were black males, approximately 18 to 20 years old, we are not sure of the exact age. it s currently being investigated by homicide and gang task force is assisting, as well. reporter: so you think this could be gang-related? not sure. that s why a gang task force is assisting to find out what happened. we don t have motive or suspect information at this time. reporter: officers said no suspect, no suspect description. they say that they don t know if the t
felony false imprisonment, which is restraining someone s liberty under the color of authority or by force, that s a serious felony and that officer would not be able to continue on as a police officer if he is convicted of that. reporter: the boy s father reportedly took cell phone video of the incident and the mercury news quotes the officer on video telling the boy, a cop s daughter is not somebody you mess around with. you re stupid. the officer s attorney said, the officer was essentially invited to use scare straight tactics and there were no objections to the lecture or handcuffing. everything was done in the spirit of reaching a troubled young man headed down the wrong path. but if that swhy did the boy s mother file a case with internal affairs? the fact that the mother went so, to them as a result of this indicates that this was not consensual. in other words, the parents didn t want their son handcuffed that this police officer stepped way over the line betwe
