Four Noles Qualify for Men s NCAAs

NCAA Zone B Results | NCAA Men's Information Knoxville, Tenn.  –  The 2023 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships came to a close at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center on Wednesday afternoon.  Isabel Gregersen and Jessica Buntman competed in the women’s platform final. In prelims, Gregersen jumped four spots on last dive, scoring 56.70 total points on her front 3 ½ tuck to finish in 17th at 230.05. In finals, she held her place after adding a total of 245.80 to finish at 475.85 Buntman stayed consistent over her 12 dives, scoring marks of 5.0 or higher on every dive. She made her first Zone final in 18th place at 226.80. Vear, Abramowicz Add to NCAA Lists

Results Knoxville, Tenn.  –  Samantha Vear and Tazman Abramowicz qualified for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in an additional event on Tuesday at the NCAA Zone B Championships. Vear finished sixth in the women’s 3-meter competition and will dive both springboard events at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships from March 15-18 back at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Abramowicz finished fifth on platform and will add that to his list in Minneapolis, Minn., from March 22-25. After qualifying for the NCAA Championships on 1-meter on Monday, Vear advanced to the women’s 3-meter final after scoring 325.00 in prelims for fifth place. Needing only to finish within the top 12 to add 3-meter to her NCAA list, Vear added 327.95 to her tally in finals, scoring 652.95 for sixth place. Tallahassee, Fla.  –  Members of the Florida State diving team will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the 2023 NCAA Zone B Championships from March 5-8 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn. “This is our one shot to make NCAAs,” FSU head diving coach John Proctor said. “We’re looking really good and we’re ready to go.” Darwin Nolasco, Tazman Abramowicz, Jesco Helling, and David Vargas will open the competition on Sunday at 2 p.m., with prelims of men’s 1-meter. The top 18 divers from prelims will advance to finals, with scores carrying over. The top seven divers will advance to nationals, which will be held March 22-25 in Minneapolis, Minn. The SEC Network plus will stream all sessions, starting with prelims of women’s 1-meter on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Samantha Vear, Isabel Gregersen, Jessica Buntman, and Vivian Johnson will represent the Noles in the women’s events.   Live scoring will be available on Divemeets.com.
