One of the many things on President Joe Biden’s to-do list is nominating up to 190 U.S. ambassadors to embassy postings around the world, from Albania to Zimbabwe. Many of those ambassadors will head to nations that the U.S. considers allies, such as France, Germany, and Canada. But some will serve in countries with which the United States disagrees on key issues, such as Russia.

Saqr Ghobash meets ambassadors of Jordan, Iraq, Georgia Video Image
ABU DHABI, 23rd May, 2021 (WAM) Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), has received the ambassadors of several friendly countries at the FNC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
He separately met with Juma Al Abbadi, Jordanian Ambassador to the UAE; Mudhafar Al Jbori, Iraqi Ambassador to the UAE; and Paata Kalandadze, Georgian Ambassador to the UAE.
The meetings were attended by Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi, FNC Secretary-General, and Afraa Al Busti, FNC Assistant Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication.
The meetings discussed ways of strengthening cooperation, especially parliamentary cooperation between the FNC and the parliaments of the three countries, as well as the importance of exchanging parliamentary visits and expertise.
JTB chief, Iraqi ambassador discuss tourism cooperation

AMMAN Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat on Monday met with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haider Al Athari and discussed ways to bolster health tourism in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Arabiyat stressed the strong ties between Jordan and Iraq, pointing to the role the JTB plays in creating more opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of health tourism and education.
He also reviewed the developments in the medical tourism sector and the marketing plans targetting Iraqis. For his part, Athari proposed ways to encourage Iraqi patients to receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals and health facilities, through partnering with Jordanian hospitals to offer promotional offers in terms of prices and services provided.
