Ionia County commissioners on Tuesday approved creating a new lawn care maintenance position and adding four employees to the janitorial/maintenance department. With Commissioner Jack Shattuck absent and Philip Hesche voting “no,” commissioners voted 5-1 to create a lawn maintenance position within the Facilities Maintenance department, with a total annual cost of $67,203.
