Reliance Jio: October 1, 2023, marked the first year of the commercial availability of 5G in India. Both Jio and Airtel claim to have garnered 50 million 5G customers within a year of the launch of their latest mobile networks.
Bharti Airtel: Initially, 5G networks were launched in key cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata, with both Jio and Airtel today cumulatively serving over 10,000 cities with their ‘True 5G’ and ‘5G Plus’ networks, respectively.
Reliance Jio: Jio has also launched FWA plans under two categories – AirFiber, and AirFiber Max, with prices starting from Rs 599 and with speeds of 30Mbps. Depending on the price, JioAirFiber users will get access to over 550 digital channels, and over 14 over-the-top (OTT) applications, as well as Netflix, Amazon Prime, JioCinema Premium, and others.
