because i think this is what the people don t understand. if you label it accident, the investigation ends? what happens? well, some will tell you that the investigation doesn t have to end, right? it will say, well, you know, prosecutors can take accidents, they do it with motor vehicle collisions all the time and they prosecute motor vehicle homicides. but in reality, when the medical examiner calls something accidents or undetermined, a lot of the times the prosecution will not move forward. the investigation will not move forward. the minute you put in homicide, then it just creates urgency, pressure, or is there actually more mandated investigating that has to be done? that s on law enforcement, right. as the objective forensic pathologist, my job is not to calculate what the effects of my cause and manner are going to be, but merely to call the truth on my cause and manner. and ensure that the cause and manner is reliable and reproduceable.
trump investigation. when it comes to the hunter biden investigation we can t find any hands on deck. that s true. three years they have had the hunter biden laptop. first d.o.j. and f.b.i. off the record suggested it was disinformation. we found out that is authentic and is his laptop. that investigation doesn t seem to have any force behind it. we don t see any overt acts or search warrants being executed. we don t hear of grand jury witnesses. the american people continue to believe there is an ever-increasing two-tier system of justice and can t be sustainable if we continue down this path. if you re the f.b.i., matt, and not really responding to chuck grassley, you are not responding to the senate, i guess you don t have to respond to anybody, do you? if you are not going to respond to the senate, the president won t ask you to respond. i guess you really don t have accountability to anybody at this point. that s what it appears.
garland for a while and i think there was a growing narrative particularly among democrats that the doj okaying too slowly. perhaps that he was being too dlibive. we have democrats that prefer him as a hard charging prosecutor rather than a legal mind. i think everything that katelyn laid out is that there s growing momentum or in the works for a while and a reminder coming the doj and how it operates. because we don t know all of the ins and outs of the investigation might be focusing on or entailed in the investigation doesn t mean it s not happening. for the democrats to be frustrated there s a political element there. doesn t necessarily mean that they have a full picture of what is going on.
