According to KHOU s Chloe Alexander, Brazos ISD superintendent Brian Thompson announced the school is moving away from virtual learning, saying it hasn t been effective for many students in the district this year. In a letter sent home to families, Thompson said, Our students benefit from being in the presence of our classroom teachers and their fellow students.

Oil’s rally stalled on the New York Mercantile Exchange, with West Texas Intermediate dipping 21 cents or 0.4 percent to close at $46.57 a barrel Friday. Prices still posted a gain from $45.76 at Monday’s close. The posted price closed the week at $43 per barrel. Natural gas prices also posted gains for the week, rising 4 cents to $2.59 per Mcf Friday, adding to Thursday’s 11 cent rise and Wednesday’s 4 cent rise. Those gains overcame the 17 cent drop Monday that saw prices fall to $2.40 per Mcf.
