Astroganger. With the home video release having come and gone, the show recently found itself a home for streaming for the first time with RetroCrush where it’s available in full here. Now, RetroCrush has added their first clip from it and have given us a good look at four minutes of various big action mecha scene from the show to check out, reminding us of what early 70s giant robot anime was like!

Astroganger. With the home video release having come and gone, the show recently found itself a home for streaming for the first time with RetroCrush where it’s available in full here. Now, RetroCrush has dug into the classic music side by streaming the opening sequence which features the song “Astroganger” by Ichirou Mizuki and Columbia Yurikago Kai as well as the ending sequence with “Susume! Astroganger” by Columbia Yurikago Kai.

Astroganger. The twenty-six episode series saw a single SDBD release with a single disc that holds the run in its original Japanese language form with English subtitles. Priced at $39.95, it was released with a June 30th, 2020 date.
Now, Japanese distributor TC Entertainment – who doesn’t always have the best reputation with older shows and especially when they try upscales – have announced a Blu-ray box set for the series that’s coming from a new HD telecine. Which means it should look really good. It’s scheduled for a December 23rd, 2020 debut priced at 25,000 yen. It’s listed as a two-disc set so thirteen episodes isn’t great for this but it is an older/simpler show and a full frame show that has more room to maneuver with. With the
