The #notwhite Collective s We Are The Global Majority Window Installation on View Now The #notwhite collective s We Are The Global Majority window installation at SPACE celebrates the dreams and vision of 13 women artists whose mission is to use non-individualistic, multi-disciplinary art to make their stories visible as they relate, connect and belong to the Global Majority. The project began in 2016 with discussions around imperialism, colonialism and white supremacy. #notwhite collective s first two programs were the Love Party for Children 2017 at the Union Project and the in between the middle exhibition at the Brew House in 2018. That same year, the #notwhite collective was awarded a Keyword:International Research Grant from the Carnegie International and Kelly Strayhorn-Theater to develop its first Manifesto, which was presented as a collaborative performance during the symposium held in October 2018 at the KST, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

FUTA scholar wins international grant for genetic and biotechnology research

TODAY December 16, 2020 One of the leading researchers at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, Dr Folashade Olajuyigbe, has won the 2020 International Research Grant from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Collaborative Research Programme (ICGEB-CRP) Italy. Olajuyigbe a prolific scholar, who won the 2017 Fulbright African Research Scholar Programme (ARSP) award for advanced research in the United States for the 2017/2018 academic year, was awarded the International grant that was keenly contested by applicants from 50 ICGEB member countries at both national and International levels. With the grant comes her designation as the Principal Investigator for the project titled “Enzymatic Analysis of the Cellulolytic System of Ligninolytic Stenotraphmonas sp. and Development of Bifunctional Chimeric Enzyme for Efficient Simultaneous Delignification and Saccharification of Lignocellulose Biomass”
