Bangladesh’s archery poster boy Ruman Shana displayed a disappointing performance in the recently concluded Victory Day Archery at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi this month. Shana failed to secure a notable position in any of the two events of competition namely singles and mixed doubles.
Archery returned to the field with this three-day meet after a long 11-month break. Shana missed the bronze in recurve men singles after conceding 0-6 set points defeat to Md Tamimul Islam after losing to 2-6 set points defeat to Abdur Rahman Alif in the semifinal. The misfortune also followed him in recurve mixed doubles. The pair of Shana-Mehenaz Akter Monira conceded a 4-5 set defeat to the pair of Pradipta Chakma and Dia Siddiqi in the bronze medal match.
