At the order of questioning was determined by a toss of the coin. Congresswoman ferraro one, she wants to speak last. Vice president bush will get the first question. The debate will be built on a series of questions from the reporters on the panel. A reporter will ask a candidate question. A followup question. And then the same to the other candidate. Governor, if Kitty Dukakis were raped and murdered, would you favor an irrevocable Death Penalty for he killer . No, i dont, bernard. And i think you know that ive opposed the Death Penalty during all of my life. I dont see any evidence that its a deterrent, and i think there are better and more effective ways to deal with violent crime. Weve done so in my own state. And its one of the reasons why we have had the biggest drop in crime of any industrial state in america; why we have the lowest murder rate of any industrial state in america. But we have work to
