committee translate this to the american public as a whole? it will certainly lead to articles of impeachment. house judiciary committee chairman jerry nadler earlier today on nbc s meet the press said he would expect articles of impeachment to be drafted this week. the question remains what exactly will be in those articles, whether it will be bribery, abuse of power, obstruction of justice, obstruction of congress. that s for something for chairman nadler and speaker pelosi to decide. what is evident based in my reporting is that house republicans are almost certainly going to be united in support of president trump as convincing as these hearings have been in the eyes of many democrats, republicans remain united behind president trump, and they have not heard from witnesses. they have worried privately in conversations with me could turn the tide for the gop. people like ambassador bolton.

that reporter was out of line. it s out of line for doug collins to say that we hate the president. but her point was those are election issues. this is an issue of urgency on impeachment and if we re going to honor our oath to the constitution, we have to act now. let s talk about what nancy pelosi announced today in an historic moment this morning when she said the house of representatives has no choice but to proceed with articles of impeachment. do you already know what those will contain? well, we know what the president s exposure is. we saw powerful uncontradicted evidence during the intelligence committee hearings, that he used his office, our tax pare dollars to ask a foreign government to cheat in an election. that exposes him to abuse of power as it relates to extortion. also the offense of bribery and congress and his unwillingness to communicate any documents to congress as well as any potential obstruction of justice. the exposure and now we have to figure out what
ukraine innd drafting articles. do you think obstruction should be one of the articles of impeachment? i m not going to speculate about particular articles that i think the committee may refer to the full house. i do think there will be a robust discussion about obstruction of justice, about abuse of power, about this president s betrayal of the national interest and his corruption ultimately of our elections andel ultimately the threat thatan conduct poses to r national security. in terms of specific articles, i think we ll take this one step at a time. i will certainly tell you that i was deeply concerned by the president s conduct during the intelligence committee hearings when he tweeted out these attacks against brave public servants and patriots like ambassador yovanovitch who was appointed by this administration to serve as the ambassador to ukraine.
