Alton High to offer new math class for seniors

ALTON Alton High School students will now have the opportunity to take a fourth year of math.
At its Jan. 19 meetihg the Alton school board unaminously approved offering a Transitional Math QL- Stats class to be taught to seniors at the high school.
Illinois is requiring every high school to offer a transitional math course in conjunction with a local community college. The three different pathways the Transitional Math program offers are STEM, Technical, and Quantitative Literacy/Statistics. Alton High School will be offering the Quantitative Literacy/Statistics pathway.
