Students demonstrate against tuition fees About 300 higher education students demonstrated yesterday (28 April) in Lisbon to demand the end of tuition fees, along a route that started at Largo de Camões and ended in front of the Assembly of the Republic. Under the motto “It s time to move forward, the bribe must end”, the demonstration was part of a national protest that also took place in Porto, Évora, Braga, Caldas da Rainha, Faro, Covilhã and Coimbra. Throughout the demonstration, students shouted slogans such as “Millions go to banking, education gets pennies” and “Education is a right, without it being done”.

Lorena C. Mariano, from the Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde in Gandra, Portugal, and colleagues conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to examine studies reporting the associations of SHS and the risk for oral cancer. Data were included for five studies, with a total of 1,179 cases and 5,798 controls and 3,452 individuals exposed and 3,525 not exposed to SHS.
