Former lawmaker from Lakshmipur MA Awal and one of his hired goons Zahirul Islam Babu were sent to jail today after their bails in trader Shahinuddin murder case were rejected.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmuda Akhter passed the order after investigator, Inspector Syed Iftekhar Hossain of Detective Branch of Police, produced Awal and Babu before the court on completion of their four-day remand in the case.
In the forwarding report, the IO said Awal and Babu gave important information about the murder which was being verified.
