Denying bail to eight accused in the Jahangirpuri violence case, the Delhi court observed that instead of stopping the illegal procession, which did not have permission, police accompanied it.
The bail of eight people allegedly involved in the violence in Jahangirpuri has been rejected by a court in Delhi, which said their release may affect witnesses. The accused are well-known local criminals and hence no witnesses will come forward.
'The issue seems to have been simply brushed aside by the senior officers. The liability on the part of the concerned officials needs to be fixed,' a Delhi court has said.
