The CBI today arrested its Deputy Superintendent of Police (Deputy SP) RK Rishi and Inspector Kapil Dhankad along with an advocate in connection with a bribery racket run by them within the agency to help companies accused of siphoning off bank loan funds worth Rs 4,300 crore.
All three arrested were presented before a special CBI court, which sent them to five days of the agency’s custody. Agency officials said the CBI sleuths also conducted searches at Rishi’s house in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh and that of his wife in Roorkee.

New Delhi, Jan 20 : The CBI has arrested its own DSP RK Rishi, Inspector Kapil Dhankad and advocate Manohar Malik in connection with a corruption case, an official said on Wednesday.
A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) source related to the development told IANS: The agency arrested Rishi, Dhankad and Malik on Tuesday.
The source said that the CBI follows a policy of zero-tolerance towards corruption.
Earlier in the day, the CBI carried out searches at two places in Uttar Pradesh s Roorkee and Saharanpur that are linked to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rishi.

New Delhi/Saharanpur, Jan 20 : Following the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday carried out searches at two places in Uttar Pradesh s Roorkee and Saharanpur on the premises linked to its own Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) R.K. Rishi, sources said.
Rishi has been named in a corruption case.
A CBI source related to the probe told IANS, Multiple teams of CBI are carrying out searches at the residential premises of Rishi named in the corruption case in Roorkee and Saharanpur s Deoband.
