the thing that outrages me, before in the past they had to go the treasury and get money from the united states congress. they had to be approved and eventually there were consequences. now there seems like an end run. can the fed just do that. the feds doesn t have an inif i gnat balance sheet. there is no cap on how much. most people think of the bailouts as tarp. it was an 800 billion dollar program that used taxpayer money and that was tightly controlled. when they gave out that money played with stringent controls, you had to reduce the amount of compensation if you took this money.
