In the last DDMA meeting, the fine for not wearing masks was reduced to Rs 500 from Rs 2,000. The Delhi government in its earlier order issued in February withdrew the compulsion of wearing a mask in a private car.
In view of declining Covid-19 cases in the national capital, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Thursday decided to do away with the fine for not wearing masks at public places in the national capital.
The district administration in Patna conducted a rigorous mask checking drive on Thursday under which several people were fined for flouting Covid norms.
