Tallahassee, FL – The 15th-ranked FSU women’s tennis team (2-0) will serve as a host site for the ITA Kick-Off Weekend beginning Saturday, January 19. FSU will open with Illinois, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. inside the Indoor Tennis Facility. Following the FSU match, No. 19 Florida will faceoff with FIU inside as well.
The winners are scheduled to play Sunday at 2:00 p.m. All efforts will be made to play that match outdoors. The two non-advancing teams will meet at 11:00 a.m. inside the Indoor Facility.

Box Score Tallahassee, FL – The Florida State men’s tennis team completed a perfect day on the courts with a 4-0 win over Samford Friday evening. FSU defeated South Alabama earlier in the day to improve to 4-0 on the year having dropped just one point in four matches. “It was a good day overall,” said FSU Head Coach Dwayne Hultquist. “We got challenged by South Alabama this morning and came right back and picked up another win tonight.” The Seminoles made quick work in doubles versus Samford Friday evening taking the point 2-0. Youcef Rihane and Bryn Nahrung were off first at 6-0. Josh Dous-Karpenschif and Maks Silagy followed shortly behind with a 6-1 win to give FSU the 1-0 lead. “I thought we were good in doubles all day,” said Hultquist. “We won both doubles points and were in position to win all our doubles matches. Tallahassee, FL – For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the FSU men’s tennis team is off to a 3-0 start in spring play. The Seminoles did not drop a point for the second time in three matches as they swept South Alabama (2-1) 4-0 at the Indoor Tennis Facility. Florida State was led by Loris Pourroy and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif, who each won their singles matches in straight sets and both were part of a doubles win. FSU secured the doubles point for the third straight match, winning 2-0. Playing at one doubles, Pourroy and Sebastian Arcila got the Seminoles off to a good start taking their match 6-2. Dous-Karpenschif and Maks Silagy secured the 1-0 lead taking their match on court three 6-3. Dous-Karpenschif continued the stellar start to his Seminole career putting FSU up 2-0. The freshman improved to 3-0 on the season in singles as he won his match 6-3, 6-2 on court six.
