Police are trying to trace the origin of the call claiming that a bomb was placed in a Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight, which had to be called back from the runway at the Kochi airport.
Yet another aviation incident involving IndiGo airlines took place on Monday when a flight from Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Lucknow after receiving a bomb-threat call.
Two IndiGo flights i.e., Mumbai-Delhi and Delhi-Deogarh flights received bomb threats in a single day leading to a diversion of flights and necessary security inspection by the airlines.
IndiGo flight 6E 6191 from Delhi-Deogarh was diverted to Lucknow, but later on, the aircraft was permitted to take off after all the necessary security checks at the airport.
