URL copied Deputy CM Manish Sisodia  The Centre should move proactively to procure COVID-19 vaccines for children as many countries have started working on it, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday. The ruling AAP dispensation led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has voiced concern over safety of children while citing opinion of experts that children may be affected in a possible third wave of COVID-19. Sharing a newspaper report, Sisodia tweeted, The world has started working on vaccine for children under age 12. Centre Govt should proactively do the needful to procure as many vaccines as possible to keep our children safe. Currently, people aged 18 years and above are being vaccinated in India.

Kanpur road accident death toll climbs to 17

District Magistrate Alok Tiwari said a probe has been ordered into the accident that took place on Tuesday night. Sub Divisional Officer (Sadar), Deepak Kumar Pal, and Circle Officer (Sadar), Rishikesh Yadav, have been asked to inquire into the incident and submit the findings within 24 hours, Tiwari said. Superintendent of Police, Kanpur Outer, Ashtbhuja P Singh, said eight of the injured are being treated at the Lala Lajpat Rai hospital here.

WBJEE exam 2021: Decision on engineering entrance within a week, says official

URL copied WBJEE 2021 is scheduled to be held on July 11 WBJEE exam 2021: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is in consultation with the state government on whether to conduct or cancel the engineering entrance exam citing the present Covid-19 situations. Registrar Dibyendu Kar told IndiaTV that the decision on conducting the engineering entrance will be taken within a week, following which the students will be informed.  Regarding, whether the exam will be cancelled, the registrar said, It s not the time to predict. The exam committee is monitoring the Covid-19 situation, and the decision will be taken keeping students interest at the priority.
