I mean, my biggest concern is losing a couple of pounds to get in my suit. Their biggest concern is leaving their front door and being assaulted or murdered, killed. I cant even put my head around that. I cant even fathom that. We need to protect those people. Those are the people we need to bring awareness to. Thank you, everybody. Thats all i have to say. Logic here, which is people are participating in the election, running up to election day, that ive always found that might be the day before, actually as probably more intense than the day of the election. And if a friendly suggestion is rather than having it on monday, everybody is going to be a hang overon wednesday, but you wont be participating in the election activities to have it on a wednesday instead. That is my suggestion. Supervisor fewer. Considering, i find myself to get in trouble on election night, i am wondering if we could actually the first timr considered that. Wondering if theres an option to actually not have a meeting that week and find another date to have a meeting. So im wondering if my colleagues wouldnt mind continuing this item or could we so that we could actually just speak among even our as a representative aids for example and to see what a better option might be. Vallie, i first met you, what, in 2007 when we both started as legislative aids, and im not going to name names but theres something about working for elected officials that makes one a stronger person, i believe. Im probably going to say that to my staff as well. It was clear then as it is clear now that you came to this work with a deep understanding, love and appreciation for your community. And you came as a neighborhood activist Getting Started in your neighborhoods, founding the Lower Haight Neighborhood Association and lower haight merchants association, knowing the value of neighborhood activism. And we all heard the stories of you out there picking up trash in the neighborhood. And that stuff matters. That matters to people. For decades, you have worked behind the scenes to bring real results for the neighborhoods and for the city. And youve done it without ever seeking the spotlight, and i think thats something thats absolutely tr
Shes an amazing young woman, and she has spent her time in our city constantly giving back to the people around her. While attending San Francisco state university, she has remained hoeiighly active in he community, serving on many committees. In 2015, she began to volunteer as a hotline operator with trans lifetime. She launched and sold a dating site called honey jar. Kenya, you are driven and talented, and you will go far in life. Thank you for invaluable contributions and engaging inspiring black trans women. Kenya, we see you, and we stand with you. Im just going to tell you a little bit about felicia flames. She says, how come i dont know you . She started talking to me and telling me her stories. Of course, i didnt knock on any more doors because i was completely enthralled with her
