New Delhi: Some Bollywood personalities, including actors Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn and director Karan Johar, have tweeted in support of the Ministry of External Affairs’ (MEA) statement against international support for the farmers’ protest.
Using the hashtags #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropaganda, the Bollywood celebrities said that citizens should focus on the government’s efforts to resolve the ongoing farmer crisis rather than paying attention to “half truths” and those “creating differences”.

After American pop star Rihanna s recent tweet surrounding the farmers s protest in India, singer-songwriter Jay Sean has expressed his support for farmers, who have been protesting against the Centre s new agricultural laws. Even climate activist Great Thunberg had extended her support to the farmers cause.
And now, several Bollywood celebrities who had otherwise reserved comments on the issue, have now come forward to express their opinion on the topic.
