In September, Reliance Jio added 34.7 lakh mobile subscribers, solidifying its lead in the Indian telecom market. Airtel gained 13.2 lakh wireless subscribers during the month, bringing its total to 37.77 crores. In contrast, Vodafone Idea lost 7.5 lakh mobile subscribers, reducing its wireless user tally to 22.75 crores.
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, which conducted the study, found that pharmaceuticals is one of the sectors where the dependence on Chinese imports is so high that the industry can’t function without these products.
Google made the investment as part of its India Digitization Fund, which CEO Sundar Pichai had announced in July 2020 to help accelerate India's digital economy.

According to the plans of SpaceX, Musk is planning to enter the ever-growing Indian telecommunications industry with 100-Mbps satellite-based internet, reported CNBC-TV18.
Musk has requested the Indian government to consider allowing satellite-based broadband technologies to operate in the country.
