India-China disengagement in Ladakh: The process started on September 8 after months of talks and 16 rounds of corps commander meetings. As per sources the two sides have moved back after May 2020 friction.
The Chinese military on Friday confirmed that the troops of China and India have begun the process of disengagement from the Patrolling Point 15 in the Gogra-Hotsprings area of eastern Ladakh in a coordinated and planned way.
The Supreme Court on Friday granted two weeks time to the Centre to file its reply on pleas challenging the validity of certain provisions of a 1991 law, which prohibit the filing of a lawsuit to reclaim a place of worship or seek a change in its character from what prevailed on August 15, 1947.
India-China relations: The country, however, said disengagement troops in the Gogra-Hotsprings area of eastern Ladakh was a positive development , which would improve strained bilateral ties.
