The resumption comes over a month after New Delhi suspended Indian visa services in Canada after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged a potential Indian government link in the killing of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of External Affairs had called for a reduction in Canadian diplomats in India citing their continued "interference" in New Delhi's "internal matters".
Congress MLA Sandeep Jakhar, urged the Punjab Government to intervene; Malwinder Singh Kang, chief spokesperson of AAP Punjab, called it a very unfortunate development.
