that s your old turf. what makes you think she can beat a local in up in new hampshire. that would be stunning. yeah, that would be stunning. he has a how in win pa sackee in you don t think that s enough? i don t think it s enough. i think mccain showed him by cleaning his clock last name it baunt enough. conservatives do not trust mitt romney. the reason he has big numbers is because independenting can vote in the primary, so independents are being polled. you can t get to the left of mitt romney in this race. there s no room for jon huntsman, there s no room to the left of romney. there s only room to the right, and michele bachmann is the natural alternative to mitt romney, except for rick perry. if he gets in, he could unite conservatives in a way nobody else in this race has been able

independenting, democrats and republicans are absolutely rejecting the republican plan. they are not falling for this nonsense that ending medicare is improving medicare. let me show you some poll numbers, because i think it s important to the two parties. in 2008 they got 60%, and in 2010, they got 59%, so a significant jump up. have they put that back in play for you? they have put back into play two critical groups of electric rats. the bottom line is that we lost seniors in 2010 and lost about 9 million independents in 2010. we lost them because republicans were effectively able to rely about us on medicare. all we have to do to get them back is tell the truth about republicans.

we don t believe that raising taxes is the answer here. i think the american people understand we have a serious problem in this country. they don t even want to consider taxing the rich, but check out who does like it the majority of americans. a new usa today /gallup poll finds that 59% of americans favor raising taxes. 78% of democrats, and 60% of independenting are on board. even 37% of republicans agree, which is also a little surprising, right? now, according to a recent nbc/ wall street journal poll it s even clearer. 81% find the plan acceptable. but it s not just taxes. americans are progressive on a whole slew of fundamental issues.

rating than teachers unioning. not surprising. let s look at the budget fight in washington. our poll finds that the public is much more concerned that republicans and tea partyists may go too far. that doesn t surprise me a bit obviously republicans are more conservative, bigger cutters. that s pretty common sense, isn t it? it is. the bigger problems for republicans in this poll is their base says the number one or two issue in this country, core republicans say the top issue in this country is pending and the deficit. the rest of america, independenting, democrats are saying the top issue is jobs and the economy, and the problem republicans have are they backing themselves into a corner? talking about spending and budgets? chris, it s almost as if the white house is reading polls, and the rep congressional

that i personally will continue to wrestle with going forward. he s wrestling with it enough that he decided not to defend the constitutionality of the bill that works against it. a pew poll, 48% of the country oppose gay marriage, 42% support it. as a whole, the country. when you break it down to independenting, 44% were in favor, 43% not. so the independent voters is slightly in fact let s just call it 50/50 on the line. no surprise there. it s not clearly a big benefit so why is he doing it? i said before it s his base. he s a man almost 50 years old, a constitutional lawyer presumably.
