Winchester Business Excellence Awards 2021 STRIVING to become sustainable is a goal of almost every business these days. The Sustainable Business award sponsored by Winchester University will be given to a business that has demonstrated how they have reduced the impact of their business on the environment. They must meet two or more of the following criteria: green product innovation; emission of greenhouse gases; energy consumption; water consumption; production of waste and improving recycling rates; sustainable supply chain and procurement; transport impact of their goods or services; staff development; and training on environmental impact. Professor Martin Broad, Dean, Faculty of Business, Law and Digital Technologies at Winchester University said: We are proud to sponsor the Sustainable Business Award again in 2021 to celebrate successful businesses through the lens of sustainability.
If you know the answer, you can nominate them for the Winchester Business Excellence Awards. The Digital Innovation category is sponsored by Winchester City Council. The awards are organised in partnership by the Hampshire Chronicle, Winchester BID and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and are open to businesses within the district. Nominations are welcomed for businesses or businesses are able to nominate themselves. Once received the nominations will be considered by our judging panel and may be subject to a ‘Mystery Shopper’ visit by the category sponsor. The judges will be looking to announce the three finalists in each category on Thursday 22nd July in the Hampshire Chronicle and on hampshirechronicle. co.uk and then a celebratory awards event, will conclude the awards on Thursday 2nd September.
