Beginning February 16, CATS will host six LIVE virtual public meetings will be held on CATS’ YouTube page. Each live meeting will feature a presentation and Q&A for one “Focus Area.”
The meetings will be aired on the City of Charlotte Government Channel at 2 p.m. the day following the live meeting.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - One person was injured as firefighters battled flames coming from a commercial building in a three-alarm fire in east Charlotte Friday evening.
The fire happened at a multi-story commercial building on East Independence Boulevard at Pierson Drive. Officials say smoke and flames were showing on the second floor, though the fire started on the third floor.
Mecklenburg EMS says one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Charlotte Fire officials say their crews are battling a three-alarm fire in east Charlotte after a commercial building went up into flames around 6:20 p.m. on Friday.

Mecklenburg County Public Health announced that they will be opening additional appointments for the first three weeks of February for Groups 1 and 2 based on anticipated vaccine supply. Appointments will be available for scheduling beginning Jan. 21 at 8:30 a.m.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A winter storm is moving through the WBTV viewing area. Schools have changed learning plans and businesses have closed as areas see snowfall and wintry weather.

Snow will taper off early tonight, with overnight low temperatures cooling into the 20s by Saturday morning. Concerns for icy roads will mainly be confined to the NC mountains and foothills, yet some icy spots will be possible across the piedmont. Some patchy freezing fog may develop as well.
