CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A lightning strike is the suspected cause of a three-alarm house fire in South Charlotte. It happened on Saturday afternoon in the Ballantyne area.
It took 60 firefighters more than an hour to put out the flames at a three-story home on Rudolph Dadey Drive, near Ney Manor Way.
Firefighters say no injuries were reported, and the fire remains under investigation.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte firefighters responded to a house fire in east Charlotte Sunday morning.
Just after 7 a.m., firefighters reported smoke showing from the second floor of the house on Beecher Drive. Beecher drive is near Briar Creek and Unity Park.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Charlotte firefighters had the road blocked.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte Firefighters are investigating how a strip mall caught on fire in East Charlotte early Sunday morning.
Firefighters responded to the strip mall on the 3100 block of Monroe Road at about midnight Sunday.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m., firefighters reported that they got the fire under control in about 25 minutes. They say no one was hurt, but there is about $95,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
