WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions is holding a hearing about how the employer system is best positioned to address the challenge of high medical costs. The hearing is titled, Lowering Costs and Increasing Access to Health Care with Employer-Driven Innovation, and will feature testimony from employers who are adapting and using tools to both hold down costs and promote a healthy workforce. Protecting Americans’ Coverage Together (PACT), a coalition of employer voices dedicated to strengthening the employer sponsored insurance (ESI) system, has been championing this kind of market-driven innovation.
