Gender discrimination lawsuit filed against Gentex

By Peg McNichol Apr 26, 2021 4:02 PM HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) Zeeland-based Gentex is being sued for alleged gender discrimination by a former employee, Elizabeth Helminski. The lawsuit, filed by the Grand Rapids-based firm Pinsky, Smith, Fayette & Kennedy, names the company and an employee, an engineer named Brian Brackenbury, whose LinkedIn profile lists his current title as “Director, Connected Products & In-Cabin Sensing,” for what the lawsuit says are “violations of the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Elliot Larsen Civil Rights Act for Discrimination based on gender and retaliation, to correct unlawful employment practices on the basis of gender.”
