As chairman of this subcommittee with jurisdiction over amateur athletics i welcome all of you to todays hearing entitled name, image, likeness, the state of intercollegiate compensation. The expectation or hope is that we might limit ourselves to that kuip of conversation but i have no control over my colleagues or what the witnesses may say that may take us broader in scope.
