cutting taxes through the tax cuts and jobs act. so to do anything that would lead to democrats saying, well, you know, republicans hiked taxes on your gas, that will create image problems for them. i do think one thing that is built into this preliminary plan that we saw float on infrastructure that might help the state and local level is this incentive for the mayors and governors to get creative with public and private partnerships. it would play out like a block grant program. so that forces states to get creative, allocate money, cut spending for some programs. that s one way for republicans to get on board with a plan like this. neil: republicans could be tempted to say a lot of the pressing needs are in the urban blue states. a lot of states that lost a lot of their appeal with the tax program that now doesn t allow writing off of state and local taxes to the degree they used
likable, maybe we could have seen a little more of the real hillary clinton. and i think, you know, a lot of those image problems actually contributed to her loss. very quickly, this is interesting, she says she s going back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance. in your book she says she s run her last campaign but i got to say, the reaction of democrats, they still seem very protective of her, very supportive of her right now. we have stories emerging about 2020 already with names like joe biden, bernie saers. hillary clinton, could you see a scenario where she gets interested in 2020? no, never. i kind of believe her when she says this is my last race and i believe her on the mayoral front too. i don t think she ll be running for mayor of new york any time soon. we re seeing this play out right now, she wants to pave her own path. she wants to advocate i think for women and children and be part of the resistance and the persistence and kind of forge that path f
