pete buttigieg and some of the other centrists who are saying that some people do like their health care. warren and sanders and other progressives are saying people don t like their health care. they like their doctor or their nurse. that s a line warren uses. i think democratic party is trying to figure what voters are looking for and they are struggling and they re kind of attacking each other over it and that s where we are seeing such a variation in plans. medicare for all, complete coverage. is it the way sanders and warner talking about it or is it medicare for all who want it, which is what pete buttigieg is talking about. neil: republicans have not come up with an alternative of their own. it cost him the house last time around. are they at risk of losing the white house because they are not articulating it? let me disagree, republicans have come up with plans. they tried to pass bills. john mccain s uncle bill on health care. it s a reason
yet we don t really have a clue what stephanie gruisham is doin on a day-to-day basis. most people don t know who she is, she hasn t been in the limelight the way sanders and spicer were, sparring with the press in the briefing room every day. most people don t know who she is or what she s really doing. i think at this point we re not going to see probably a daily press briefing resume. that just doesn t seem to be something in the near future we re going to see. she s seemingly doing more logistics, answering questions and responding to reporters and trying to give them background information. but you re right, we re not seeing her in front of the cameras like sean spicer, like sarah sanders, answering questions on television from reporters. and i don t expect us to see that anytime soon, at least not with stephanie grisham, that just does not seem to be something she ll be doing. oliver darcy, good to have you with us, thank you. coming up, the moment a cnn crew got caught in
a front-runner like we did in 2016 on the democratic side. hillary clinton at this point was at 60 something. joe biden is the front-runner in this race but the latest poll is 34. there s a lot of people who are undecided. there are also sloa lot of peop who were for him. debates don t matter where people don t know much and have a clear favorite. i know you re a supporter of senator harris. but tonight, big standoff between elizabeth warren and bernie sanders and then you ve got pete buttigieg as well. and my question to you is we ve seen the polling that has shown that warren and harris have pulled away sanders most liberal voters. that is obviously a cause for concern for his campaign. what does the sanders camp have to do tonight to try to turn that ship around? i think the clashes you re going to see tonight are going
