court. you re live in the cnn newsroom. good morning. thank you very much for being with me. i m carol costello. we begin in colorado where a veryup very upset widow says a public apology will not bring her husband back. the woman learned the man accused of killing her husband and the prison chief tom clements walked free from prison four years early because of a clerical error. evan ebel was supposed to serve additional time for punching a prison guard but because of a paperwork error, ebel got out early. cnn affiliate kusa spoke with a very emotional catherine leon. here she is in her own words. a simple sorry ain t gonna suffice in my book. i m a 30-year-old walt disney
hour or so. they ve been walking through here, combing this area, these lots are very large and these are very wooded heavily wooded areas. so they didn t know if that suspect originally fled on foot. that s why they were focusing so much on here. now, way up the hill, we are pretty far away from where this house is. but you can kind of see a trail of the cars. those are the investigators cars and they ve been going back and forth, a number of agencies working with the el paso county sheriff s department up at that house, but they have been busy since last night. they say it is so good the sun has finally come up here because working against the night hours has been very hard for them. in fact, as soon as the sun came up, they started releasing more information about that car description. so they re hoping they ll be able to see more about what has happened here and go through this wooded area. they think they ve talked to just about all the neighbors that are around here, but they hop

reporter: you know, it s a bizarre and strange account. i spoke with those neighbors. they live right underneath the apartment belonging to james holmes. they told me it was an apartment complex that was usually quiet and there was really no noises that came from the unit above them. these folks are pretty ar particular be late when i spoke to them. they told me that, you know, all of a sudden, at the stroke of midnight, this loud tech know music started to play and then for some reason all of a sudden it just cut off at 1:00 in the morning. they speculate it was perhaps some sort of timed sort of lure, maybe to lure someone to go knock on the door. that s what they speculate. if this has anything to do with the investigation, who knows. but it s certainly an interesting element in all of this. jeremy julolo from kusa, thank you for taking the time. when we come back, we re going to talk to former fbi
