WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. â A South Florida man accused of beating an iguana to death unsuccessfully sought to use Florida s controversial stand your ground law to dismiss the case.
PJ Patterson, 43, of Lake Worth Beach, was arrested last fall on a charge of animal cruelty.
