WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. â A South Florida man accused of beating an iguana to death unsuccessfully sought to use Florida's controversial "stand your ground" law to dismiss the case.
PJ Patterson, 43, of Lake Worth Beach, was arrested last fall on a charge of animal cruelty.
