When the Minnesota ESST mandate takes effect at the start of 2024, covered employers will be required to provide eligible Minnesota employees with at least one hour of paid ESST for every 30 hours worked.
The original version of ESSTA, formerly known as the New York City Earned Sick Time Act, took effect on April 1, 2014. The ordinance mandates that covered employers provide eligible employees.
