TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-Campfires and propane-fueled devices have been banned at north Idaho State Parks while other federal agencies have expanded fire restrictions in southern Idaho as fire conditions worsen.
In the Magic Valley the Bureau of Land Management announced all federal, state, and private forest lands will be under Stage 1 fire restrictions by Friday, July 16, (See full details below) in Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Custer, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Owyhee and Twin Falls counties. Basically, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions prohibit the use of campfires outside of approved campsites with fire rings.

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - You’ll soon have a new path to take on your walks around Pocatello.
Crews began work on the Benton Connection trail Wednesday. The 300-foot long, 10-foot wide non-motorized pathway will run along the north side of the Benton Street Bridge and will connect South 1
st Avenue to South 2
nd Avenue. Benton Connection will be paved end-to-end, feature lighting, and serve as a connecting link in the Portneuf Greenway Trail system.
“The completion of this trail will be an important step in connecting Idaho State University to Historic Downtown Pocatello,” said Maggie Clark, Project Manager for the City of Pocatello. “This land was unused City right of way paralleling the Benton Street Bridge so a shared-use path makes sense.”
