Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): Minister of PWD (Housing and Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum, inaugurated a newly constructed community hall in Yaongyimti (Old) village under Mokokchung district on November 9. Speaking at the inaugural programme, Ozukum remarked that community hall was a much needed infrastructure for the village, which he had assured to complete before December 2022. He thanked the Nagaland chief minister for coming up with the concept of creating iconic projects in all the assembly constituencies through which the new community hall in Yaongyimti village could also be constructed. The minister informed that the community hall project was funded by the state government under Iconic Project and could be completed in seven months time at a cost of INR 25 lakh, stated an update from the press secretary to the minister. Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation, G Kaito Aye, unveiled the plaque of General K Zuheto Swu Memorial Hall in Satakha town under Zunheboto district on October 20. Speaking at the inaugural programme, Kaito stated that the hall was dedicated in honour of Late Gen. K Zuheto Swu, retired DIG of BSF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, for his outstanding contributions and selfless services rendered towards the welfare of Satakha people. He added that the name of the hall was endorsed by the Satakha Area GBs’ Association in consultation with district administration, stated a DIPR report. He requested the family of Late Gen. K Zuheto Swu for their continued support and participation and in sharing the vision for building and developing a better Satakha. He also extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Satakha Area GBs’ Association for endorsing the project. Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Minister of PWD (Mechanical and Housing), Tongpang Ozukum, inspected the ongoing construction of community hall in Yaongyimti Old and Yaongyimti New, which is being undertaken from the funds provided under the Iconic Project initiated by government of Nagaland, on July 14. The concept of ‘iconic projects’ was introduced by Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, during the presentation of 2021-22 state budget in February, stated an update from the press secretary to the minister. It stated that accordingly, each member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly could take up ‘iconic projects’ under LADP annually as per the specific actual needs in each constituency, The minister was accompanied by officials from NDPP Angetyongpang AC under NDPP Mokokchung region. Later, NDPP officials and the minister also interacted with the village council leaders and party members in Yaongyimti Old, Yaongyimti New and Phangsang.
