The administration had announced a 24-hour curfew on May 2 and 3 (Monday and Tuesday) and asked Khargone residents to celebrate the Eid-al-Fitr and Akshaya Tritiya festivals at home.
Complete curfew has been declared during Eid in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, which saw communal violence during Ram Navami last month. Eid is likely to be celebrated on Monday or Tuesday. Both of these days will be under curfew.
A team of leaders from opposition political parties have released a 16-page report that pointed out that the Muslim community in Khargone has been subjected to intimidation for a while now.
