Raipur, Jan 4 (PTI) The newly elected BJP government in Chhattisgarh has effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 88 Indian Administrative Service officers and one officer of the Indian Police Service.
Nitishwar Kumar (IAS), Principal Secretary to J&K LG Manoj Sinha, is appointed as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The rise in the number of IAS officers either opting for voluntary retirement, or being slapped with action, has raised questions on the 'functional autonomy' of civil servants in the state.
