Lubbock police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old man on Monday after they responded to a vehicle that crashed into a bank in Central Lubbock.
Officers responding to a crash about 10 a.m. at People s Bank in the 3800 block of 34th Street found David Romo in a Hyndai Elantra, according to a police news release.
He was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
An initial investigation indicates Romo was leaving a parking lot across the street from the bank, crossed 34th Street, entered the bank s parking lot and collided into the landscaping and the building.
