Jackie Mason, a rabbi-turned-comedian best known for his stand-up and voicing Krusty the Clown s father in The Simpsons, dies after being hospitalised for over two weeks. 26 July 2021
Jackie Mason, a rabbi-turned-comedian best known for his stand-up and voicing Krusty the Clown s father in The Simpsons, has died aged 93.
Mason died on Saturday local time at Mt Sinai Hospital in Manhattan after being hospitalised for over two weeks, celebrity lawyer Raoul Felder said.
Mason got his big break in 1961 with an appearance on Steve Allen s weekly television variety show. His success brought him to The Ed Sullivan Show and other programs.
