ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Corey Kluber stopped for a moment before his first pitch of the ninth inning.
“I had to take a breath after the warmups and calm myself down a little bit,” said the pitcher nicknamed Klubot for his robot-like demeanor.
Kluber then finished the sixth no-hitter in the majors this season and second in two nights, leading the New York Yankees over the Texas Rangers 2-0 on Wednesday.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) â Adolis GarcÃa s infield single scored automatic runner Nick Solak in the 10th inning, giving the Texas Rangers a 3-2 victory over the Houston Astros and a sweep of their Texas rivals Sunday.
It was the second game-ending hit in the 10th in the three-game series for GarcÃa after a three-run homer in the opener. He also went deep twice during Saturday s 8-4 victory.
The series was a strong response by the Rangers to a 1-9 stretch that included a four-game sweep by the Astros last weekend in Houston.
Solak took third on Nate Lowe s groundout and scored on GarcÃa s hard grounder up the middle with the infield in. Jose Altuve made a diving stop, but the second baseman s desperation throw didn t get near home plate.

The top two home-run hitters in the American League will be in the spotlight Tuesday night when the Texas Rangers open a two-game series against the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim, Calif.
Rangers center fielder Adolis Garcia and Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani each have 14 home runs this season, putting them atop the AL leaders entering the week.
The early power production from both players has been a surprise, especially from Garcia, who didn t homer in his first 24 major-league games with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2018 and the Rangers in 2020.
