India's recent decision to include imported hydroelectricity from Nepal under its renewable energy count is a significant and commendable move that symbolizes the strengthening ties between the two countries.
KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The Indian government has turned flexible in facilitating imported hydropower by revising its energy related policy that talks on allowing the imported hydroelectricity also to be considered under the part of its renewable energy.
Garg advised the Nepal government to request Indian authorities for providing facilities to Nepalese power producers at par with the domestic power producers in India in order to boost Nepals hydropower exports.
