ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Chairman, Qurban Ali urged on Sunday for enhancing the China and Pakistan economic and trade connectivity through the nearer region of Gilgit Baltistan(GB).
The senior business leader said that the GB region is a gateway for CPEC to provide opportunities to the Chinese business community and investors to connect with China as well as other regional countries including Central Asian Republics (CARs) to get benefits from their economies said a statement by FPCCI.

GILGIT: Hundreds of people affiliated with the Pakistan-China border trade face economic hardship following suspension of trade and travel between the two countries through the Khunjerab pass.
The trade bodies have appealed to the government to devise a mechanism to mitigate their losses by ensuring smooth continuation of trade activities from the upcoming season.
They said the exchequer had suffered around Rs8 billion revenue losses as the CPEC-related shipments halted following the border closure throughout 2020.
